After a trip to SOAPSTONE STUDIOS last night to visit with my good friend the XPLORER NINJA, I learned that NINJA will be taking the month of April off to record their 3rd ep. It will feature a mix of electronic drums,(via an traditional/electric hybrid drum set, and a high end drum program at Soapstone studios) and will include the tracks: BUMPER, DOOM, THE LAST DRAGON, and one more. Which I believe was the 8th DRAGON,??? but I can’t remember due to the PBR consumption during my time in the studio.
Imperial Beach California band FUZZ HUZZI is about to blow up. Talking w/ the band, we were told about multiple occasions the band had been scouted by major record labels at some of their hometown shows.
The guys really enjoy coming to Vancouver, always have a packed house to play to, and receive nothing but love from the music fans of Vancouver.
We’ve been contacted about hosting 4 dates on their 2012 tour. 2 are already booked, the 3rd is in the works, and number 4 will be dealt with in time…
I’ve been booking Knothead on a few different bills. He’s got some good connections, and usually ends up on the underbill opening for huge acts like TECH N9NE, KOTTONMOUTH KINGS,PROZAK,(HED)pe, and actually just hooked up a Tacoma date with CYPRESS HILL> I’m lucky enough to have the dude want to mess around with us, and play these local shows to small crowds. If it wasn’t for the love the Vancouver music fans give him, he might not be doing it… Glad we met the dude, he kills it on stage, and we were able to get his music out to some more peeps that might not have heard him otherwise. This video was Taken on a TUESDAY night in Vancouver. On Valentine’s day no less. Not a bad show at all.
After 3 plus years of hassles, and lack of appreciation of what Vancouver Local 360 created for their establishment, We’ve washed our hands of Irishtown bar and Grill. The botched sound at the 3rd annual TOYS FOR TOTS toy drive show was the straw that broke the camel’s back. We’ve decided to take things back to the West side of town, and are currently testing the waters at a few different downtown venues. Malibu’s seems like a good place to make home. Debby is hella cool, and they need someone to make something of the place, and shake the bad rep it made for itself when it was Captain’s and had all the fights. We have to bring our own sound gear in, as they have no system. But they do have a big room, a pretty decent stage, and some good lights. Look for some good shows there in the future..
Hit up the links on the rt side of the page, and see what the NW has to offer in top notch musicians…
Managing multiple social networks, (which is what reaches the local music fans in the area the most) It’s hard to find time to develop this page. BUT…. We’re gonna try are best to start keeping it more up to date. Stay tuned..
